The Vaccines – Reading Festival Review
The Vaccines have been one of the most hyped bands in the country over the last year, coming from nothing to become one of the biggest talking points in the music world, so unsurprisingly they amassed a large crowd at Reading. With the majority of their songs coming in at under three minutes, The Vaccines managed thirteen songs, including one new track, and a cover.
The performance was of great quality, and the band had the whole crowd loving every minute. ‘Wreckin’ Bar (Ra Ra Ra)’ and ‘If You Wanna’ were particular highlights, and the new song ‘Tiger Blood’ certainly seemed like a great addition to their set. From the performance they put on at Reading, it seems that the hype that has been cumulated is worthy, and they will be going places.
The Vaccines are the perfect indie rock band, creating short and catchy songs that will definitely be enough for them to last a long time as a band. The one thing they need on top of the ability to write a good song is the ability to perform live, and so although they may not have perfected their show yet, they are unquestionably on their way, and we will be seeing a lot more of them in the future.
