Live Review: The Gaslight Anthem (Glastonbury, The Pyramid Stage)

The Gaslight Anthem
13:45, Saturday, The Pyramid Stage

Anyone who has been to Glastonbury (or any other major festival for that matter) in the last couple of years would probably have had the chance to catch New Jersey rockers Gaslight Anthem, the band who played the John Peel Stage in 2009 and the Other Stage in 2010 made the step up this year to the Pyramid this year and proved that they could pull off a great show anywhere. A fairly large turnout greeted the band who were handed an early Friday slot and seemed for every moment to be thoroughly grateful to have the opportunity. They kicked off with regular set starter “High Lonesome” which was followed by the highly popular “The ’59 Sound” and from then on the crowd were gripped. A great performance which really seemed to get the Pyramid stage up and running for the weekend. [4.0/5.0]
