Live Review: Metronomy (Glastonbury, Pyramid Stage)

12:05, Friday, The Pyramid Stage

My first ever experience of Glastonbury’s famous Pyramid Stage came in the shape of Metronomy, early on Friday Afternoon. With the festival’s first day of full music just kicking off Metronomy pulled a fairly small crowd (by Pyramid Stage standards anyway!) with people still trudging their way to the stages. Onstage Metronomy got the crowd shuffling with a solid set, with “The Look, Radio Ladio” and “She Wants” being particular highlights. The sound down the front of the Pyramid stage was a little bass heavy and at times the melodies got lost in the mix, but Metronomy battled on regardless. An entertaining set that got the crowd nicely warmed up for the weekend ahead. [3.0/5.0]
