Reading and Leeds Festival 2011 – Saturday Catchup

- Jane’s Addiction pull out of Reading Festival 2011 and their Leeds performance is in the balance. It’s unclear whether Jane’s Addiction will fulfill their commitment to play Leeds Festival 2011 tomorrow evening, an official statement is expected from the band and festival promoter, Festival Republic, shortly.
- Leeds is still in the North – no change here
- The Strokes were joined by Jarvis Cocker to cover The Cars ‘Just What I Needed’ before running into the curfew.
- They were given a ten minute extension to play ‘Juicebox’, ‘Last Nite’, ‘Hard To Explain’ and ‘Take It Or Leave It’.
- Apparently, according to the official Facebook page for Reading and Leeds, every band has been awesome, wicked, cool and blew every other band out water so by default Friday has the worst bands and Sunday has the best. However this is over two sites with two different schedules. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
