Radiohead To Tour In 2012?
Former Reading and Leeds headliners and generally geniuses Radiohead look set to take to the road in 2012. The notoriously secretive band, have been known to let information slip during chummy interviews.
Last year they foreshadowed the release of The King Of Limbs and last night Thom Yorke let slip that the band would be touring next year when co-hosting Giles Peterson’s Radio One show.
That’s not all though Atoms For Peace’s debut album is nearly ready too. For those who don’t know, AFP is the side-project that brings together Yorke, Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich and Red Hot Chili Pepper’s iconic bassist Flea.
Strictly Our Opinion: Well this is great news for Radiohead fans, if the tour takes them to UK it will be their first widely available tour date since the bands secret set at this year’s Glastonbury festival.
Speaking of Festivals, with Glastonbury out of the question, Isle Of Wight too soft and with V going more urban, Reading and Bestival would appear to be Radiohead’s natural home in 2012.
