Pete Doherty Released A Month Early

Submitted by on July 6, 2011 – 12:37 pm | 28 views

Peter Doherty walked out of prison yesterday morning as confirmed by his manager Adrian Hunter on the Albion Rooms website a month before his sentence was due to end.

There is now nothing standing directly between Doherty and his Reading and Leeds Festival Republic Stage headline slot.

The early release while hardly a surprise, has raised eyes brows as Judge David Radford condemned Doherty’s behaviour during sentencing saying that the ex-Libertines star had an “appalling record”.

Doherty is still awaiting trail for a burglary incident in Germany that could land the singer a five year jail sentence.
