The rap collective Odd Future have pulled out of Leeds Festival after Tyler, The Creator was nominated for two awards at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The collective released a statement apologising to the organisers and fans saying ‘Tyler recently achieved a lifelong dream of being nominated for two MTV VMAs – New Artist of the Year and Video of the Year’.

Following this in the statement, Odd Future promised to give Leeds Festival ticket holders an opportunity to access the pre-sale option for the next show they play in North England.

Odd Future will still be performing at Reading Festival on the NME Stage on 27th August.
