New Music: Marina + The Diamonds – “Starring Role”

Since headlining the Festival Republic Stage in 2010 Marina + The Diamonds have been away working on a new album. She started with the release of “Radioactive” and now she’s back with “Starring Role”; a sexy and playful track that plays with the morbid moodiness of contemporary female pop while managing to be exude a little attitude and character.
“Starring Role” moves Marina closer to R’n'B and toward a more serious overall sound, but it does verge on the bland and scene at times.
