Download Festival added yet more bands this morning as Slash and Rise Against were named Friday and Sunday second stage headliners respectively.

Over on the main stage Megadeth, Steel Panther, Black Label Soceity, Kyuss Lives!, Fear Factory, Billy Talent, Five Finger Death Punch and As I Lay Dying help to fill out and already impressive looking line up.

While Terrorvision, Periphery, and Ginger Wildheart rounded out the announcement and are expected to appear on the events second stage.

Strictly Our Opinion: It’s yet another strong announcement for metal fans, but Reading lovers have reasons to be little jealous at the sight of former Lock Up headliners Rise Against and Billy Talent. Sonisphere and Reading already have a lot to live up to in 2012, let’s hope their announcements deliver.
