Brandon Flowers revealed to Zane Lowe that a new Killers album will “definitely” be released in 2012 saying “It’s just whether it’s the summertime or the wintertime”.
Having made a grand live return at Hard Rock Calling and having pushed their solo projects to one side the band are giving all their attention to a new Killers record, which according to Brandon Flowers will see the Killers focusing on their strenghts:
“I think the consensus within the band is to take those things that we’ve done well and really hone in on that,w e don’t want to make Hot Fuss 2 or Sam’s Town 2, or Day & Age 2. We’ll maybe take all that stuff, the best of all of it and do what we know how to do.”
Little is known about the new album except that one track, “Battle Born”, will make the cut (Flowers called the track “killer”), but it will be a tough task to follow 2008′s Day And Age which went an amazing 4xplatinum in the UK.
Strictly Our Opinion: The Killers are heavily rumoured to headline Hop Farm this summer, after Brandon Flower appeared solo supporting The Eagles in 2010.
