Florence + The Machine Name New Album, Set Release Date
The new Florence + The Machine album will be called “Ceremonials” and is set to be released on October 31st.
Florence told NME earlier in the month to expect “big themes of love, death, violence and guilt”.
It has also been confirmed that the excellent “What The Water Gave Me”is not the album’s lead single, but instead an exclusive taster. The fact that such a big and accessible track has been given away for free, would seem to suggest that Florence has some huge potential singles left in reserve.
The Tracklisting is as follows:
1. ‘Only If For The Night’
2. ‘Shake It Out’
3. ‘What The Water Gave Me’
4. ‘Never Let Me Go’
5. ‘Breaking Down’
6. ‘Lover To Lover’
7. ‘No Light, No Light’
8. ‘Seven Devils’
9. ‘Heartlines’
10. ‘Spectrum’
11. ‘All This And Heaven Too’
12. ‘Leave My Body’
Strictly Our Opinion: There is a lot riding on this album, with no Glastonbury in 2012 there’s a strong chance that Florence will be making her return to Reading and Leeds next summer. Ceremonials will decide whether she returns as the hottest name in music or as a once white hot star on the wane.
