Enter Shikari, Katy B & Pulled Apart By Horses for IOW
The Isle Of Wight raised eyebrows this morning by securing a blockbuster announcement. The highly sort after Enter Shikari, who have been hotly tipped for Download, Reading and Sonisphere, will sub-headline Isle Of Wight’s second stage behind Groove Armada on Friday.
Speaking of huge gets, the Festival also secured a performance by Katy B, 2011′s most in demand pop star not named Adele. The South London star will slot in before Wretch-32 on a jam packed second stage line up on the event’s Saturday night.
Bring some rock to the second stage will be the Sunday night combination of two Reading favourites Ash and Pulled Apart By Horses who will play between Black Stone Cherry and The Darkness.
The announcement was rounded out by two announcements Christina Perry & Beth Hart on the Garden Stage (Saturday) and Strackridge on Thursday for campers only.
Strictly Our Opinion: The Isle Of Wight just landed two of this summer’s most sought after names. Enter Shikari are still riding high on the back of their new album, and Katy B has established herself as one of the most festival friendly and down to earth popstars. Both will draw big crowds and should have Reading and V fans very jealous respectively. Ash and the brilliant PAPH only make the deal even sweeter, a great counter balance for fans of newer music who will be skipping the Main Stage this year.
