Deftones front man Chino Moreno has said the band will start writing a follow up to 2010′s critically acclaimed Diamond Eyes in September. Chino told US magazine Billboard:

“We’re going to have a month off, but in that month we’re talking about starting to write again. We’re not that good at working on the road. We find that when we actually get together where there’s no distractions, that’s when we write songs.”

Deftones will be rocking the main stage at Reading and Leeds this year.

Strictly our opinion: If the new album is anywhere near as good as it’s predecessor, it will be one to look out for. We can’t wait to see what Sacramento’s finest come up with.
