Blink-182 to headline Eden Sessions
Blink-182 were announced today as the latest Eden Sessions headliner. The pop-punk superstars will join fellow headliner Plan B when they take to the stage on the 8th July.
Cornwall’s The Eden Sessions have risen to prominence in recent years on the back of stunning performances by both Muse and The Flaming Lips, winning praise for combining great music with the beautiful scenery of The Eden Project.
Blink-182 followed up the announcement by naming All American Rejects as their support across the UK with The Blackout, Twin Atlantic and Four Year Strong dipping in and out on certain dates.
Strictly Our Opinion: This news may come as a shock to Sonisphere fans who had assumed for many months that the Tom Delonge and co. would be headlining this year’s festival. While this announcement doesn’t rule Blink-182 out, taken alongside two dates at London’s O2 arena (which have yet to sell), it will certainly take the lustre off their announcement.
