This week at Strictly Festivals we’re going to be getting to the bottom of the big mystery that has festival fans across the country scratching their heads in disbelief: why hasn’t Reading and Leeds sold out?

Each day, from Monday to Friday one of our writers will be tackling this year’s big talking points in effort to explain why Reading hasn’t sold out instantly for the first time since 2005.

On Monday Janusz Jasinski will be telling you how Reading And Leeds lost their rock’n'roll spirit and sense of community.

On Tuesday Tom Forster will be explaining how competition from other festivals, big and small, has stolen fans away from Reading and Leeds.

On Wednesday Danielle Gough will be talking cold hard cash and wondering whether Reading and Leeds still represent value for money in 2011.

On Thursday Simone F tackles this year’s highly contentious line up and those headliners.

And on Friday David Hayter will bring all these strands together in the hope of definitively telling you why Reading Festival still hasn’t sold out.
