Blink-182

21st Century Appearances: 2010 Main Stage Headliner, 2003 Main Stage, 2000 Main Stage

The Defining Reading Moment: The older, more mature Blink returning to the headline the main stage in front an absolutely jam packed crowd, who were ready and willing to sing along to virtually anything Blink felt like playing.

Blink-182 have played Reading Festival three times, the pinnacle being in 2010 when they headlined following their reunion playing exclusively. The 2010 show was exactly what we’ve come to expect from the band; by no means is Delonge the best singer or guitarist in the world, and the same can be said for bassist Mark Hoppus, but they know it, and had no problem showing it parodying themselves by attempting a Guns N Roses cover but giving up when it was too difficult. Needless to say, everybody I spoke to who saw them had the time of their lives swimming in the nostalgia of their childhoods. Kyle Prangnell
