The Cure – Reflections

Fresh from stunning the world with a fabulously affecting headline set at Bestival, The Cure’s ambition show’s no sign of waning as they announced a special one off gig at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

At this once in a lifetime performance (if you live in the UK), The Cure will perform their first three albums (Three Imaginary Boys (1979), Seventeen Seconds (1980), and Faith (1981)) in full. The band have also announced that this will be the last time that many of these tracks will never be performed live.

If you go your guaranteed to hear classic hits “10.15 Saturday Night”, “A Forest” and “Primary”, but fear not fans of “Boys Don’t Cry”, The Cure have been playing an extended encore full of the post-82 favourites to keep everyone happy.

So if you go, you’ll be in for a treat with four, forty minute sets.

Swedish House Mafia

Dance/pop cross over superstars Swedish House Mafia are taking the most ambitious step of their career so far, announcing one huge date at the 65,000 capacity MK Bowl. The band have been riding high in recent years with “One”, “Miami To Ibiza” and “Save The World” flying to Top Ten and new album One Night Stand due for release in December.

The Kerrang! Relentless Energy Tour – New Found Glory, Sum 41, Letlive, While She

Kerrang’s Relentless Energy Tour has been a staple of the gigging calendar for a good few years now, and this year it’s gone all pop punk, with a host of Reading and Leeds veterans. New Found Glory & Sum 41 provide the big name presence, while Letlive offer contemporary credibility, and While She have a big chance to prove their worth and win over new fans.
