Frank Turner at Wembley Arena

Wow Frank has sure come a long way since parting company with the Million Dead. This week he announced his biggest date yet at London’s Wembley Arena, a bold move, that we all hope he will pull off. Frank is a Reading and Leeds legend, and beloved in these parts, so we’ll forgo the normal introduction and lead you straight to the links.

Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney has never played Reading, and chances are he never will, but almost every band (yep even those on the dance stage, give “Tomorrow Never Knows” a listen) that has played Reading has in some way been influenced by The Beatles. Plus we know from talking to you on our Facebook page that more than a few of you are Beatles fans. Paul is still fantastic live, and on his latest tour he’ll be focusing the non-Beatles portion of the set on Wing’s classic Band On The Run LP.

20 December – Liverpool Echo Arena

Noah And The Whale

Noah And The Whale have been going from strength to strength in recent years, winning critical acclaim with their latest album, and it seems that every time they return to Reading and Glastonbury they are playing to bigger and more passionate crowds, but why wait till next year, catch them on tour.

Stereophonics

Once upon a time Stereophonics were Reading Headliners, seems like a crazy thought in 2011, but we know there’s a lot of love for the Welsh rockers, and if you share the love, catch them at one of their three nights at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
